The Making of a song

Ive been a studio before and photographed an artist recording, but not creating a song from scratch. It was interesting to watch what goes into making a song, starting with one sound and building on it, adding different instruments, and making adjustments. It was also intriguing to capture the collaboration of creative minds, Producer, songwriters A-Minor and Rich H of 32D and producer Doc Mckinnny.

"Blurring the lines between graffiti and ultra realism, Adrian Hayles'
voice and vision is almost instantly identifiable among fellow art
...lovers. At the tender age of nine, Toronto-based illustrator Hayles
discovered the expressive nature of the visual arts. With his
continued artistic development, illustration became his deepest
passion and utmost talent. His desire to learn and absorb from his
surroundings led him on a personal creative and ongoing journey.

On September first, Adrian Hayles will be showcasing his personal
collection of paintings and illustrations at Toronto's Proper Reserve
Boutique, located at 498 Queen Street West. The show starts 7pm
and will be displaying the Night moves Series. Having felt compelled to
satisfy the demand for art that caters to the party environment, Adrian has
created a series of paintings that embody and reflect the very essence
of nightlife in his series entitled "Night Moves". Using the
combination of fluorescent colours and motion-driven brush strokes the
paintings have an undeniable sense of excitement and energy that is
clearly visible in this particular line of work. Using spray paint and
oils, the series somehow manages to blend the rough and rugged feel of
the street with the traditional sensibility of classical paintings.
The T-Dot long board and other painting and illustrations that reflect
Adrian's creative spirit and knack for artistic expression will also
be on display at Toronto’s Proper Reserve Boutique."

G7 took over the stage at Urban Noise Festival. Ghetto Concept, Kwajo Cinqo returned to the stage for the first time in five years. On his home turf of Rexdale, it was if he never left. He brought it back with "Still too Much" and kicked out new jams. Kwajo shared the stage with the Stars of G7 Records, J.J. Money, Reema Major, Marcus Voice and Scribblez. Look for big things coming from the G7 Universe soon.

Last night I hit up Sound Academy to cover the event for Hip Hop Canada. Team Canada DJs hyped the crowd up.

Scratch from the Roots was the highlight of the night. He was a real showman, his beatboxing skills were phenomenal.

Biz Markie was a let down with his DJ set.

If you were with the 100 or so that suck around till after 1:30, got to hear Biz spit the verses for "Nobody Beats the Biz".
